Interfacing the DPC-2400 serial data packet controller between a host serial port or microcontroller UART and any of ABACOM’s transmitter and receiver modules provides a quick and easy, single chip solution to data formating and data packetizing requirements necessary for successful wireless serial data communications. The DPC-2400 saves the designer the burden of having to write the code to packetize and encode/decode their data. The DPC implements a proprietary form of Manchester encoding.
